From him are descended the Neve families of Hastings and Fairlight. A Crowhurst Monumental Inscription states : "William Neve died 17 Feb 1831 and Hannah his wife died 20 Jan 1823 aged 7? years. Charles son of the above died 23 March 1853 and Elizabeth his wife died 6 Feb 1861." "The Conversion of a Windmill" by Arthur H Neve (circa 1925) confirms date of death as 17 Feb 1831. Age at death is given as 93 years which corresponds with date of Baptism at Wittersham.
William married Harriet Lansdell on 22 Jun 1769 in Rolvenden. Harriet was born in Tenterden, Kent. She was christened on 5 May 1745. She died on 20 Jan 1823 in Crowhurst, East Sussex.

John married Hannah Simms on 16 Sep 1762 in Wittersham, Kent. Hannah was born about 1743. She died on 17 Jan 1808 in Wittersham, Kent.

A Monumental Inscription recorded by Leyland L Duncan in July 1923 states : "Edmund Rootes died 8 July 1787 aged 43 years. Sarah his wife 23 September 1807 aged 64. John their son died 28 August 1789 aged 17 years. Left surviving one son Thomas." Her baptism date calculates her age as 65.
Sarah married Edmund Rootes on 22 Feb 1770 in Wittersham, Kent. Edmund was born about 1744. He died on 8 Jul 1787 in Wittersham, Kent.
