Narrative

A Wittersham Monumental Inscription recorded by Leyland L Duncan in July 1923 states : "Edmund Rootes died 8 July 1787 aged 43 years. Sarah his wife 23 September 1807 aged 64 years. John their son died 28 August 1787 aged 17 years, left one surviving son Thomas."
