He was an artist and studied at Bideford School of Art and Brighton College of Art. He exhibited at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition 1928(2), 1930(1), 1933(2), 1935(2), 1936(2), 1937(1), 1938(3), 1940(1), 1943(2), 1944(1), 1945(2), 1946(3), 1950(2), 1952(2) and was elected to the RI in1938. ROI.
He taught at Brighton College of Art from 1924, Vice Principal. His fatther is believed to have been a cabinet maker and named Edwin John Rendle. His mother was Annie Morgan, and was possibly adopted. He left £7,632 6s 9d.
