Narrative
He is buried in an 'oven brick' vault in the south-east corner of High Halden churchyard. He is believed to have rented Tiffenden Manor, High Halden. He was the Churchwarden from 1806 - 1817. The 1841 census shows John Neve, grazier and his wife Margaret, 45 at East Cross, Tenterden. He committed suicide by cutting his throat with a razor in a water closet.
