According to the 1841 UK census, Henry was living with his mother at 10 Cockle St, Brede. He emigrated to Sydney, Australia on the Fairlie, arriving on 5 November 1841. Henry was a Bounty emigrant, brought out by Gore and Co., as was his brother, Elias. Henry aquired a land grant at Prospect (several hundred metres southwest of St Bartholomew's church) and subsequently bought additional land in the area, which he farmed for most of his life in Australia. After his marriage at Prospect, 1844, Henry moved to Mulgoa, NSW, and then to Prospect for several years. In 1852 Henry decided to try his hand on the goldfields at Turon, NSW, where son James was born. The following year the family was back at Prospect, where the family then remained. He died the 7 of November 1877 at Prospect, NSW. The cause of death was softening of the brain. He was buried the 8 January 1877, St Bartholomew's, Prospect, NSW, by Rev. E. Smith. He married Sarah Walker, the 8 April 1844, by banns at St. Bartholemew's, Prospect, the Rev John Troughton offiating and witnessed by Edward Burgess & Joseph Haddock of Seven Hills. Sarah and William are both buried at St Bartholomew's, Prospect.
