Lived at Oaklands, Cranbrook. Was unmarried and a Land Agent. He was a very tall man and urchins in the street used to ask 'Is it cold up there'. He was called 'Harry' by his father George Neve, known to have been in Bulawayo in Oct 1896 and still there in 1899. He was educated at Cheltenham College from 1873 to 1877. He was there with Herbert Neve. The 1881 census shows him to be at Castle House, Sissinghurst. The 1891 census describes him as a farmer. He died in St Lukes Nursing Home, Courtfield Gardens, Ealing leaving £ 9,525.6s.10d. At some time he managed the Glassenbury Estate.
