He was baptised on 26.12.1814 at Rolvenden, his father's occupation being given as 'Farmer'. He was a solicitor in Cranbrook. He must have moved to Rolvenden from Tenterden after April 1813. He lived at Osborne Lodge, which was to become Cornwallis House of Cranbrook School in 1931. There is a stained glass window to his memory in Cranbrook Church reputed to be made of German glass from Munich. His initials are to be seen on the gable end of Cranbrook Museum 'WTN 1889'. The building was once four cottages owned by his father George Neve. His firm was 'Neve, Wilson and Farrar Solicitors'. He was a member of the Kent Archeological Society.
